I shot a music video last night at 30p with the hopes of conforming in cinema tools to 24p. I moronically sped up the song to 120% instead of 125% and now I need to figure out how to proceed. The song stays relatively in sync for about 3 seconds so I could feasibly edit "as is" because there will be enough cuts, but this repetitive re-syncing will get somewhat tedious. My other options, as I see it, are to figure out a way to smoothly ramp up the video playback to ~104% (the ways I've tried it in FCP have resulted in somewhat jerky playback) or change the rate of the song. Changing the rate of the song is probably the last thing I want to do. I'd rather trudge through re-syncing than mess with the song's integrity.
Any other thoughts? Particularly in regards to getting smoother speed adjustments to 104%. My math skills are obviously deficient, and vocab like "pull-down" and "drop-frames" have always boggled my mind. I can post video if anyone would find this helpful.
edit: Exporting with After Effects has yielded the same jerky/catch-upy issues with 104% speed up. Again, I'm not sure if changing the footage interpretation might help at all, but that stuff really confuses me.

Thanks!
