OK, so new problem for me here.

I was shooting auditions last Saturday, and on or 4th tape of auditions, we noticed that it appeared as if there was an odd ghosting and streaking on the video. This was both on the TV we had it on and the LCD itself. on re-play it showed the same problem.

Today, I was shooting in SD on my A1 and I saw the same problem shooting outside. I can't figure out what the problem is and looking at previous post I just saw people talking about 60i and 24p mode. This appeared on the auditions at 60i and today with 24f. so no connection there.

Auditions was shot inside with one light on and plenty of light, and today I was outside with a ND filter on.

It was on Auto for both, so not sure on the frame rate. only other idea was noise reduction, but I don't know how to do that...

If anyone wants to throw in there $0.02 I am cool with that.

Just thought of something...

Both times it was hooked up to an external monitor through the V1 connection (RCA).

Could that have anything to do with the problem?

Hi Scott,

Did you by any chance checked the shutter speed what was the shutter speed at? also was the camera on the tripod with the steadycam icon on? and you did panning?

My first suspicion would be too slow shutter speed.

If you have a Custom Preset activated, be careful. Noise Reduction (NR2) can cause ghosting.

I thought it was the noise reduction but had no clue how it got activated...

Thanks Chris! I turned of the CP and it worked just fine after that!

Hmmm, as I suspected! Be sure to tune that particular preset and toggle NR2 > Off.
