One of my biggest time consuming during editing is to find the right music.
sometimes I could spend days and still not be able to find what I want.
I usually look for movies soundtracks.
My editing style is kind of film/ documentary with time shifting.
I will try to post first 15 min of one of the wedding that I did just that you could understand what I am looking for.
I hope you will enjoy the movie and I really hope I could find with your help allot of music that will help with my type of editing.

Thank you,

I would love to hear where other find music.
Thank you so much for taking the time.

Thank you Stephen for taking the time and watch the video.
I really hope someone will come with this Gold Mine answer since this will expedite my editing by much. ( and maybe others)

What about your self, where do you find your music?
I know I am a pain in the ..... for asking over and over but I really want to get to the bottom of it.

I look on I-tunes under soundtracks. You can do a search for Hans Zimmer, he usually has some nice stuff. What is the name of the song you used for this video? It is awesome.

Hi Dror, I watched your video, very good. To answer your question I look for promotional music (music featured in trailers) along with soundtracks to give the movie a more cinematic feel (sound-wise). Try CDBaby along with iTunes and Amazon.

I notice when i searched under Epic Music some of the results were almost what I was looking for
but it was more for a trailer then a background music.
Does anybody knows under what category i should search.
Searching under soundtrack is to general and allot of time consuming to find what I want.
Again thank you so much for your help.

For royalty free music I use shockwave-sound.com. Can be a little expensive, but at least it's royalty free. Digital juice also has good stuff. Go here: StackTraxx Layered Music Libraries by Digital Juice (http://www.digitaljuice.com/products/product_volumes.asp?pvid=8)

Hope this helps

Your music choices for your film were great. Problem we all face is that use of those tracks is likely a copyright violation, and we are forced to seek royalty free sources.

On Digital Juice, if you watch for sales, you can get a lot of decent tracks royalty free for a great price.

Sonic Fire Pro also is great, and Sony had Cinescore, with a limited amount of tracks that were nice.

Another interesting source that can provide some interesting and some ethnic flavors, is Magnatune.com.

Well, I edit wedding videos for friends and family only. So I don't get paid. And therefore....I use the tracks from iTunes. I'm sure I've violated some copyright law somewhere but my work will never get published nor will I make money off of it. Basically what I do is more like a slightly upscaled home video.

Lately I did a wedding for my wife's cousin and I used Craig Armstrong's "Portuguese Love Theme" (from the movie "Love Actually) and Yurima's "Maybe".

I'm finding some great music at Tune Society: Tune Society: Production & Media Music Community - Royalty-free (http://www.tunesociety.com)

It's a great site to find great music. All royalty free and reasonably priced.

Has anyone tried FreePlay Music lately? I've been aware of them for a while, but up until recently, most of their music has sounded like "one guy with a nice keyboard". But check out some of their newer stuff (for example try Acoustic Guitar Vol 7 and 8 rather than 1 and 2). It's really pretty good - sounds more like studio musicians. And you just can't beat going legit.
