View Full Version : Housing / weather proofing a Nanoflash

Just used a Nanoflash on the back of a Panasonic HDX900. Worked great but have a question on protecting the unit. I shoot a lot of adventure / wildlife documentaries. While shooting we are often out in bad weather and shooting hand-held material. I have two concerns
1) A rain cover.
2) The eject buttons being pressed accidentally.

I wondered if anyone had already come up with a solution for this. A simple box / rain cover would do the job but no point reinventing the wheel if one is available?

Thanks
David

If your regular rain cover does not cover where the NF is mounted (depends on how your NF is mounted to the cam), just use a sandwich or slightly larger Zip-lock plastic bag.
