I recently upgraded my NeoScene to V5 and was hoping for interface changes but everything is still the same. If it's not broke don't fix is a good guide to follow however will we ever see the addition of drag & drop functionality?

Yes that is coming, and we are replacing the NeoScene / HDLink GUI as part of that effort.
