Hello everyone, and thanks for allowing me on board. I've been taking still photographs semi-pro for many many years, and recently purchased a Canon 5D Mk II. Once I discovered the 1080p side of the equation I purchased a shotgun mic and am now studying to learn the best way to utilize this amazing machine. Considering all the knowledge available here at DVInfo I'm confident I'll be up to speed very quickly.

Welcome to the neighborhood! I'm just up the road from you, in Woodinville.

Thanks neighbor! I'm just up the hill from Chateau Ste. Michelle. (hey, that rhymes ...)

Hey Carl, I see we're neighbors. I'm over in the Lakeview district of Kirkland and produce a car series with an NX5U... though I've used many other cameras in the past.

Thanks Ryan. Man, I just checked out your site, some fantastic stuff. Gotta love those GT-R's.

If you like GT-Rs, here's the video to watch:
YouTube - Taming the Serpent: Illtech's R35 GTR (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXmOg4QuVCE)

We shot this last year and its become rather popular on YouTube. We're doing another GT-R feature in the next few weeks. A modified car with about 700whp. I've driven it... it's nuts.

Cool. Are these GT-R's driven in competition, or are they for show?

All different. The "Taming the serpent" GTR was built for show, the Episode 24 car is just a personal toy for the owner (with some drag and circuit weekend fun) and the new feature we're working on the car is a product development mule that also sees a lot of track time.

Its funny, because with very few mods these cars can break 10s in the 1/4 mile which then bans them from running in NHRA events without a full cage. So, lots of owners do low 10s lifting before finishing just so they can continue racing for the day. But, in fact, the cars are very solid in the 9s.

Hi Jeff. I think we should all form a corporation. Eastside Video Services!

Staff meetings every Wednesday at Forecaster's (Red Hook).

I'm afraid any and all the profits would be consumed in liquid form every Wednesday.

No problem. We'll just set it up as a non-profit organization, with all proceeds going to our liquid assets.
