I ve use better light in xl1s, we will see the difference in the next cannes
film festival........just a little better lighting on xl1s for more or less the same quality transfer.

I mean if your final product is in b&w and you tranfer from digital to crt , with good direction of fotography, you can save money, considering the significant difference of the camera's price.

canon........i ve shooting 1\50 1.6 nd filter 16xzoom lenses5.5\ 88 4\3 format no filmmode.

HD cinealta 24p ............ serial lenses 4\3 format no 16\9

I love cinealta, of course when you use colour is another world, if you compare with xl1s, but is still not 35mm especially in low lighting...look at the digital version of " mouline rouge" o "soprano' s" new series etc....
But probably is the future and we must use light in different way.
So sometimes we have to care about the relationship quality\price.

xl1s\hd cinealta......... hd cinealta \ 35mm......etc.
