I've seen height map used on youtube to do a fake predator camo, doesn't look half bad actually. Of course my version of Vegas does not have it (it's not listed in mine anyway) Pro 8.1 doesn't have it but it appears pro 8 does?

If 8.1 is suppose to have it is there a way to add plugins like height map after the fact?

Uhmm, I havent got 8.1 installed at present, so I cant check,
but, just a thought,
You know its not in FX, yeah?
Its in compositing mode, left hand side, green button in your track options,
click Custom- Height Map, and you're good to go.
Only relevent if you didnt know.... :)

Thanks man! It was there. Didn't think to look there. Did a quick test and it works fine. We are doing a fan film that might have a predator and I wasn't sure how I was going to do the pred camo but I think for quick shots anyway the height map will work fine..
