I have been asked to upload some footage and they asked me to upload; " Your original uncompressed footage (this means the best quality version that you have)". I am unsure of what they are asking me. My camera is a JVC GYHD 100 and I captured this footage in 24P HD my NLE is Vegas 8.

Hi Suzanne, I have the same cam, they are asking for your MP4 ( or Quicktime, if thats what you had the cam set on ) exactly as you dragged them off the camera.
It is already compressed by the camera, what they should have said is 'the raw files' I guess.

Thank you. I had submitted footage to the life in a Day Project and they are considering using some of it so I want to get this right. I really appreciate your reply. Suzanne

How do you get raw footage from the HD*** series?

Actually, what the program called for was untampered files from those cameras. In that reply, "raw" means "untampered as transferred from the camera".
