I just updated to the latest build of NeoHD and Activate.exe was flagged as a Trojan by Avira antivirus software--anyone else have this issue?

Some Anti-virus software incorrectly flag our licensing protection as danagerous. It is a false positive.

Just an FYI. I've never seen this before, but the most recent version of Avast Pro stops the download of the Neo 4K build 283 zip file at Activate.exe and flags it as malware.

It is a false positive, Virus checkers hate protection software.

I filed a "False Positive" ticket with Avast, so maybe they'll fix this by the next revision. If the issue was just reporting the malware detection on executing Activate.exe, that's one thing, since how often does one activate? But it's disrupting the download process, because Avast checks the complete contents of downloaded compressed files, immediately quarantines Activate.exe, then stops the entire download.

It's not a big deal,because I just disable Avast when I download the Cineform package.

It is isn't happening on NeoHD or Neo3D, it is just the subtly of random bits looking like something else. Activate.exe is only used when you first license the product. As it is still annoying, try this build http://cineform.com/downloads/Neo4Kv523b284.zip not really new features yet, but it is just different enough for the problem to not occur.

@David,

Yeah, that got rid of the Avast error. You had me stumped for a second, because I was getting a 404 on the link, but then I realized that the URL you posted was missing the date. Thanks again.
