I can't seem to find anything technical that tells me about the functions of the H1 so I'm wondering if this is possible;

attach the H1 to a DSLR and use the line out to record straight to camera on 1 channel while recording with the H1 to the other channel.

I'm hoping I can record to camera, record to H1 & monitor audio - sounds too easy

anyone tried this with the H1???

Hi Paul,

I've read your question a couple of times and would like to help, however, I'm a bit confused. Could you re-phrase this one so we can help? I have an H1 and a 5DM2 so I can offer some assistance once I'm fully clear on what you would like to achieve.

The camera has 2 channels of audio. The Zoom H1 has 2 channels. Did you want to take the Line Out of the Zoom and put it's mixed output on 1 channel of the camera? If so, you can do this with a simple Y cable along with a Line to Mic attenuation cable. With the Y splitting the output of the Zoom H1, you would be able to monitor with headphones, and send the signal to the camera. I think this is what you want to do?

Are you talking about using the H1 built-in mics?

Or do you want an external mic to go to both the H1 and the DSLR? If that is the case you may want a mixer to send one channel to the camera and one to the H1.
