Dear Friends,
I have received confirmation from one of our users that his Avid Media Composer 5.0.3.5 is working great with our nanoFlash files, including our Long-GOP files.
His editor has tested, among other things our Long-GOP files at 50, 80, 100, and 140 Mbps.
They ran out of time before testing 180 Mbps Long-GOP files, but they should work also.
Here is one quote from our user reporting the editor's comments:
"He has now put together a 10 minute sequence with the 140 MB MOV. files.
He has used dissolves, fades, cuts and color correction.
Scrubbed through the timeline and played it at normal speed. All without a single hiccup."
I believe the editor was using AMA, I will need to wait until Monday to confirm this.
Previously, our recommendation was to use our 50 Mbps Long-GOP or use I-Frame Only for any higher bit rates.
Now, our users have the option of using Avid 5.0.3.5 with our popular 100 Mbps Long-GOP files.
