Hi,

I have a m2t clip on the timeline. Project setting is 1440X1080 30fps (16:9).
I decide to render, I pick MPEG-2, then Custom..In the Output type I see
-DVD
-HDV
-MPEG

1.What's the difference between DVD and MPEG-2?

2. If I pick DVD and change the Width to 1280 and Height 720 (leaving the Aspect ration to 16:9), I get an erro "The reason for the error could not be determine" (after you press OK on the RENDER AS screen)

Thanks

You're getting the error message because that's not the right size for a regular DVD.
720 x 480 (and a few minor variations) are it for non blu-ray DVDs.

HD source on Vegas timeline to create your DVD is so so, not very sharp picture. You should do a search on the forum HD to SD downcoversion for DVD, I think you'll be happy to learn it because your final DVD will be much much better than what Vegas can down convert your HD to SD > DVD. Very simple straight forward.
