Hi guys

Just a quick question... The AF100/101 doesn't by any chance have the same 1:1 crop mode as the GH2 seems to have does it?

According to Panasonic the AF-100 uses a different sensor and optical-low-pass filter.

From what I've heard, crop-mode is not planned for the AF-100.

Guy - That would be/is a real shame because it would certainly put me in the market for one!

Can anyone that owns one of these cams verify this completely !?

If you mean that the lenses for the GH1 or now the GH2 is a 1:1 crop, also known as no crop factor at all, then this is your camera. If you mean can you zoom in on the imager and crop out parts of it, this camera does not do that.

Best,

Jan

Yes I mean taking down the imaging area. I think this feature is called 1:1 crop on the GH2. I guess because it means each pixel on the chip is a pixel in the image as apposed to a 1080 image created from the full 14mp (or whatever it is).

For wildlife use this would make this camera very flexible indeed and give good reach. It would make this camera pretty much everything I'd be looking for !
