View Full Version : Vegas & Architect question about chapter markers.

I inserted the chapter markers (by pressing M) in the Vegas timeline. Rendered the file out to standard DVD, dragged the mpeg file to DVD Architect and burned to a DVD. However, when playing the DVD, there are no chapter markers: I pressed "Skip" on the remote, and it goes straight to the end of the DVD. Did I miss a step in DVD Architect?

Make sure that you've checked the "Save project markers in media file" box in the Render As window.

And then, after rendering, don't move the files to a new folder. After rendering with that option checked, you'll have a new ".sfl" file which contains the marker information.

Ah so!
Then the markers are not saved IN mediafile as staded in screenshot,
instead in a separate file.
thanks

I'm preparing to move from Liquid 7.2 to Vegas 10 (via the upgrade to Vegas Movie Studio 9 which I happen to have) and wonder if someone would indulge me with a question I know I can answer by reading when I get the programme.

If you prepare your authoring eg chapter markers menu design etc in DVD Architect for Blu-Ray does any part of the design/chaptering carry over to the authoring for a DVD? In TMPGEnc Authoring Works (our current authoring software) you have to treat each version as a separate project - which is jolly infuriating etc since from January 1st we're offering both as part of our package.

Will the chapter markers be retained if rendered to BD? I mean, do I need to do anything differently if I render and burn to BD?

Thanks,
