eBay.ie: DV NECK BRACE CAMERA SUPPORT Sony Z1 EX1 EX3/Canon/JVC (item 350370947689 end time 27-Dec-10 14:10:51 GMT) (http://cgi.ebay.ie/DV-NECK-BRACE-CAMERA-SUPPORT-Sony-Z1-EX1-EX3-Canon-JVC-/350370947689)

extremely cheap but I wonder
1) is it reliable?
2) is it comfortable? doesn't look like
3) will it stay still? gives the impression a heavy camcorder like the EX1r could end up wobbling left and right like crazy

but if it really works it would be a bargain!!!

It's a neck strap that supports a short monopod....

Will fatigue the neck, you'll get breath motions unless you are a shaman/swami, and it won't relly "hold" the camera, just take some weight off your hand, which will still have to keep the camera in position...

You'd be better off with a monopod with one end stuck in your pants pocket or a purpose made belt holder. Not much more $, but solves at least two of the above problems. I have a couple cheap ultra compact monopods I use that way with smaller cameras and larger ones as well... fairly effective, and once again... CHEAP!
