Merry Christmas all:-)
Looking for a bit of help. Got an issue with my Z1U :-( When powered on the lcd screen displays a gray image, although the eye piece still operates normally as well as everything else. Was shooting an interview when the lcd screen flickered a couple times then turned gray. When you initially flip it open, sometimes it will display correctly, but only for a fraction of a second then goes gray again.
On a side note, I have had to repair the above unit twice before for different issues. What a shame....the unit has less than 500 hours on it. I bought it along with an FX1 @ the same time. The Z1U has always been babied heavily while the FX has been dropped, soaked, caught on fire partially, and it still works like a tank with no problems what so ever. I love that unit...knock on wood;-) The Z1U, if you look at it wrong it breaks.......go figure :-(
Just looking to see what the problem might be, possible cost of repair, and if anyone has had similar issues with the Z1U being a pansy. What a shame cause I really like the unit.
Any help is greatly appreciated and have yourself a Happy New Year!
Thanks.
