For some reason .cffl's created in FL for windows won't open in FL for mac. Why? Even if I change the extension to .flproject it won't work.

What should I do? I want to see my project on windows and mac to decide on a happy medium for color correction. Can you make a quick update to make both versions match? Thanks in advance!

There aren't compatible, they are only file list anyway. You are the first to ask. The color databases are compatible, that is the imported stuff. However both .cffl and .flproject are text files. .cffl is a XML and .flproject is a plist, doing from the plist to the XML is easy, but not the other way currently.

do you have a recommendation for a workaround? i have the color databases synced via dropbox and have another folder in there i was keeping the windows .cffl files in. i would like to check my correction on both platforms.

also, how come the fcp rt playback is greyed out in system preferences on my editors computer? is that not an option for neoplayer anymore?

oh and just wondering... is there a reason you went with plist on the mac version instead of xml? do you plan to make them both xml or some other structure that is cross compatible? just wondering if theres some performance increase or something by using plist. since theyre such small files and all.

Never was in NeoPlayer. Plist was easy on Mac (stored in an XML variation), XML easy on PC. No obvious work-arounds, just import the files, no color information is stored in the FirstLight projects, so loss of data. I'll put it in the list, as it was an oversight.

The project file for FirstLight on the Mac is an xml file. You can open it with TextEdit to look at it.
