Since there where no specific rainslickes for the dvc 30 when i needed one i bought the Petrol PRC-DV, its no the ideal fit but shure keept the camera dry when i was shooting i some heavy rain(you could drown by just beeing outdoors) and it keeps the mud on a safe distance(i mostly shoot outdoors, freeride mtb and so on).

I emailed petrol a few months ago and the was supposed to make one, infact the had sent a prototype to panasonic, but i didn't hear more about it so i vent for the raincover above.

I think you could use the covers intended for dvx100, but it's very big on the dvc30.

What is the price of that rain cover you just posted the link too?

It's about 85$ from bhphotovideo.
If you are using shotgun mics the space for that in the petrol slicker i use isn't to big, havn't tried a shotgun mic, but check before you buy with the mic you are using. Another reason why i bought it was that there isn't to much choice here in Norway and i was in a hurry..

Christian,

sounds like you are happy with your Petrol cover. Thanks for the advise.
