View Full Version : HDlink Sharing Violation

I have a 4 disk RAID setup which was on this computer, and shared with another one via network.
If I try to convert any files on this drive, I get a 'sharing violation'. I have tried turning on 'sharing' but still get the error. I tried 'running as administrator', still error.
Only way I can work with the files in HDlink is to move them to my system drive.

Any fix for this?

i'm able to convert across a network, so technically this 'should' work. Usually, the 'sharing violation' means that the file is already in use. You may want to restart the other computer, just to make sure another application doesn't have 'ownership' of the file.

Hm.

I don't have the other computer even turned on. So it is only accessing the raid drive on my windows 7 machine. Still getting the sharing violation.. any other ideas?
