Hi all
I am looking at a Canon HJ14 lens for my pdw-700. DigiBroadcast are selling them for £10,500 plus tax - but they are coming in from Japan - considerably cheaper than other retailers here,

What are the issues with buying a lens from Japan, as opposed to one from Europe - I think it still comes with a one year warranty.

Cheers, Sparky

Hi Mark

Did you ever buy this lens as a grey import, I am considering the same and are wondering what the issues might be.
Also if you did get the lens are you happy with it, I want to use one on a PDW 700 and am wondering if it exhibits much in the way of chromatic aberrations. I have found a lot of lenses show this with the 700.

thanks in advance

Go back to your local dealer with the price that you can get it from overseas. Give them the opportunity to match the price. Quite often I have found that this works.
