I've used this forum to get grumpy about the less than impressive parfocal accuracy of the XF; to balance things, I thought I'd showoff something delicious about the camera for those who haven't experienced it: how easy it is to achieve great Keys.

Quite a difficult subject to key here - a woman with wavy blonde hair, shot in less than ideal conditions, a rather rushed shoot in a makeshift studio (a small classroom) with tons of stray light mixed with a couple of kinos.

Keyed in 30 seconds using DV Garage keyer. This would have been very messy in HDV (I was previously using the Z5 and XHA1). With the XF's 422 colour it's child's play.

This is BEFORE adding any spill suppression, major tweaking or colour correction - just the most basic key.

I'll be putting the background in later, for demo purposes I've left it black.

Every time I chromakey with this camera I'm impressed. It's so easy!

Seems all I've been doing these days with my XF is greenscreen!
I'll second that this camera is awesome for keying work.
Check out THIS hair though! HaHa!
This was with Primatte Keyer Pro in AE. Ridiculously simple. I just put a nasty gradient behind it to give worst possible BG. The real BG is a virtual set and she looks amazing!
