the audio in a exported avi sounds awfull in CS5, crackling, ticking.
I had to revert to 5.2.7.290. Audio is back to normal.

I have also had the sound problems you mention and after reading your comments have gone back to 290 and presto the crackling has disappeared. I hope Jake or David read this, because the sound problems persist in the latest beta.
Thanks Ann!

Anyone documented this with support, as we have no bug filed in this area?

I got bad audio when transcoding with HDLink as well. I have seen (heard) this before when upgrading from version X to version Y. I once had a fresh install of Windows on another computer and when i installed version Y it worked as a charm. It seems that the uninstaller dont remove everything when one uninstall the old version. I have seen this many times and then i needed to manually remove all left over traces from the old version.

No, i am afraid that i have not logged any bugs for this.

5.3... doesn't do it for me either.
Went back to 5.2.6.289
Noticed this only on exported avi.

I exported an edit from Premeire pro cs5 into a Cineform AV file, I get perfect sound. I just converted an existing Cineform video file with sound AVI under Windows using the Release cadidate for v5.3.1 of Neo 4k and I am getting normal sound.
