I wanted to evaluate the effect of polarization to weigh it against the light loss of using the filters. This is a quick comparison of polarizers on the Panasonic TM700 as compared to the EX1R to see how the filter affects each camera and how well they match. I see no reflection correction effects on the chrome Kleigl Brothers Special Edition Fresnel whatsoever but the sky color and saturation effects are easily observed. The lack of effect on the Fresnel could be due to the angle of the Fresnel wrt to the sun (90 degrees).

Both cameras were equipped with B+W multicoated circular polarizer filters. Measured light loss was 1 1/2 stops no matter what the position of the filter. The shot is 90 degrees to the sun at about 3pm (-5 GMT) in Florida February 2011.

WARNING: If you look out your window and see large snow drifts, click the "Watch Later" button and come back in 4 months. Otherwise you *may* find yourself resisting the urge to jump out that window.
