My family has come through relatively intact. I haven't been able to get ahold of a few freelancer friends that were on location in some of the worst areas. The canterbury tv building came down in rubble and fire... I am praying everyone got out. Some horrific stories from friends narrowly escaping collapsing buildings... and eyewitnesses of those who didn't quite make it.

Thoughts and prayers to those less fortunate. And to the city... the rippled twisted streets mean we've lost sewage water and gas until all new pipes can be laid. Thats a long time to be without a toilet or shower. Ugh.
