View Full Version : Pulling several MP4s into one MP4

I had a project that consisted of 6 parts to a 60 min or so panel discussion I shot with my 5D Mk2.
I synced the sound with DualEyes and then produced an MP4 for each of the 6 segments.

I then needed to create the large All 6 files MP4. I thought about trying to copy all the segment timelines from each of the 6 projects into one but saw that I could effectively pull the MP4s onto the ALL project's timeline and I rendered it to the same format it was already in and produced one 2.6 GB file. I looked at it in the player and I can't tell any degradation in quality at all. Couple of questions:

1. Am I right that this is an acceptable means of joining several MP4s together into one?

2. And maybe a whole other thread question: What sites, YouTube, Vimeo (I'm a PRO member) or other allow for a video of this size to be uploaded?? Are there other sites that are more lenient of larger videos?

TIA
Harry

Do you still have the original projects saved? If so just drag each finished project file onto the timeline and render as a single file. The way you're doing it works but when you re-compress there is always going to be some loss in quality, even if you don't notice it.

I went ahead and did that and after an all night render it actually produces a smaller file too.
