I installed the CMU software that came with my NX5U and Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum on my Computer using Windows 7, 32 bit and it works fine. Now my question.

I'm looking at purchasing a new laptop and they all seem to be using Windows 7, 64 bit. Will this software work on the 64 bit system?

Yes, they'll both work with 64bit.

You might want to check if any plugins you need are 32-bit only. That's the only thing you should need to worry about.
