I usually use a tripod with my XL1S, but sometimes I need to shot "run and gun" on my shoulder. I use a MA200 XLR adapter for wired and wireless mics on the XL1S. This lets me hold it fairly steady on my shoulder. I have started to use an XL2. The built-in mic adaptor on the XL2 is much narrower than the MA200. I get some camera movement that I do not get with the XL1S setup. Has anyone dealt issue with the XL2 and developed solutions to use it on the shoulder? Thanks for any information...

Some of that movement may be due to the shoulder pad, but don't overlook the extra weight of the 20x glass. I was able to feel the difference right away and it leads to fatigue a lot faster. If you can find a way, mount some weight on the accessory bracket to balance the camera more towards the rear.

Thanks Greg for reminding me of the weight difference in the 20X lens. That probably has a lot to do with the movement I experience. I have the 16X manual lens and will try it as well.
