I just upgraded to HD and I'm trying to find some best practices when working with Final Cut Pro
I shoot in 1080/60i and someone told me to capture the footage in HDV and later convert it to ProRes LT. Then I do all of my editing. Once I finish, I send it to Compressor and deliver to DVD.
Also, I generally import all of my footage. Couldn't I just import the footage in HDV, edit, and use compressor to export to ProRes, and then use that ProRes file to DVD?
What is everyone else doing? Would like to see if there's a better way.
Thanks
