For some strange reason my d7000 will not auto-focus (hunting for focus throughout focus range of the lens and stops) and it seems exposure meter in viewfinder is a bit off. In live view mode, it works fine taking stills and taking videos.

Has anyone heard anything like this?

Just got off the phone with Nikon service person. They never heard anything like this. My d7000 will be sent to them soon.

This happened to me and it was my lens that needed servicing - 18-200 zoom.

When it first happened, I thought it was the lens, but when it happened with all my lenses, it was no doubt my camera.

Just reporting I got my d7000 back repaired under warranty with no issue.

Bumki, I just watched your test footage and was extremely impressed. How do you think the d7000 holds up to the 7D and possibly even the 5D? The footage looks really clean and aliasing and rolling shutter seem to be much more improved compared to the d90 and d5000. Thanks!

Hayden Hoyl,

Sorry for the late reply. I do like d7000 a lot. In my own personal experiences, when it comes to image, I like it over T2i, GH2, and GH1. I don't have any experience shooting with 7D or 5D, so I can't say. Sorry it wasn't much helpful.
