I just recently made the switch from XP to Windows 7, and let me state that I'm having a love/hate relationship with it. I Installed Vegas 9 on a new computer. I have been using a Panasonic DV deck (AG DV2000) to feed DV video in and also to feed a Panasonic monitor out from Vegas for play back on my old computer (XP) without any issues. On the new computer I can't get Vegas to connect to the DV2000.
In the record window when I try to reconnect I get the message: "Microsoft DV camera and VCR couldn't be opened. Please make sure that it is turned on and not being used by another application."
The computer does connect with the DV-2000. I just can't get Vegas to "see" it. BTW - I connected a Canon GL-2 (using the same cable) and Vegas recognized it and connected - I could record from it if I had to.
I'm stumped as to why the DV-2000 won't connect. Is this a Windows 7 thing?
Any suggestions?
