I have a MacBook Pro with V10.6.3, 2.66 GHz Intel Core i7, 4gb 1067 MHz DDR3

Final Cut Pro V.7

I have been transferring AVCHD footage from a Sony HDR-sr11 for over a year without problems. Today, I sat down to log and transfer as I have always done, but no clips come up in the queue. I have checked everything I can think of, multiple restarts, order of connections and power-ups, but to no avail, I cannot get the clips to show up in the log and transfer queue. The camera disk icon appears on the desktop, so the USB connection is good. Please help. This has been a super seamless workflow until now. Any ideas?

Have you done a pro apps software update recently? it may be that the AVCHD plug in is not working after it.

Or to flip it round the other way is your OSX and software up to date as there may be new fixes that make them compatible, it may also be that OSX or pro apps have been updated and sony need to update their plug in to work with it all.

One other option is that the AVCHD plug in has been erased or corrupted, a re-install of FCP may cure this.

Is the AVCHD option still there in the preferences section of log and transfer as that may indicate a problem or missing plug in?

The camera disk icon appears on the desktop, have you tried to browse the files? Check that the camera HDD is not corrupted.

Or probably your camera internal HD is almost full that it's taking time to transfer files and sometimes it looks like nothing is going on. This happens to me with my CX550v it just take time, but eventually it will transfer, just give it a time.
