Hi.

If so ..

I would like to hear how you rate the experience ...

Q. have you noticed a jump in quality ?

Q. Is the Ninja, Ok with run and gun .. or does it get in the way ...

Q. Any issues with the new ProRes workflow

Q. What is like shooting on 60p setting from the camera...

Q. there is a lot of uncertaintly about the potential for 10 bit output from the camera, the general view is that the HDMI is 8 bit with 2 bits padding, not a true 10 bit addressing scheme. Does the Ninja give more info on this ?

thanks in advance ..

Justin.

Creating a 10-bit stream on HDMI is the right way to go even with cameras like the NX5. Though any detail that the 2LSBs carry would be predominately noise, padding the data (presumably with zeros) is appropriate to allow it to be processed at 10-bit in post. The addressing scheme is true, its just the data that has been truncated and padded. So as far as external recording devices are concerned, its a fully compliant 10-bit stream.
