TIA Grazie Syeed Ali June 5th, 2011, 07:17 AM Yep, picked up a kit from WTS last week. WTS Broadcast (http://www.wtsbroadcast.com) Graham Bernard June 5th, 2011, 07:29 AM Syeed, did you go with rails as well? Or is this a snap on? What size filters you using? Grazie Syeed Ali June 5th, 2011, 08:39 AM Took about a week to get hold of the bits. 0250-2000 VOCAS MB-250 KIT...............£511.00 0350-0012 VOCAS MB-100.....................£185.00 0340-0001 VOCAS Side Flag Kit.............£190.00 All prices excluding vat. You definitely have to get the rails. I haven't got any filters for it yet. That's on my to get list. I'm in East London. If you aren't too far away we can always meet up and you can try it out. Graham Bernard June 5th, 2011, 08:47 AM Kewl! - I'm well up for it - big time..... In town? Do some shots? South Bank? Post it here? I've got Formatt Pola and a well wicked SunSet. Was it tough getting the other bitz? Grazie Syeed Ali June 9th, 2011, 12:20 PM Perhaps even do an XF300 group meet? Graham Bernard June 9th, 2011, 01:09 PM Yes! Just put a deposit down on a xf300. And getting Croz or Vocs too. One thing...... issues getting stock from Japan. Earliest? September. Grazie Nigel Barker June 10th, 2011, 12:53 PM A September ship date is nuts. CVP have the XF300 for 2-3 day delivery Canon XF300 (XF-300) HD Camcorder - MPEG-2, 50Mbps, 4:2:2 codec, L-series lens, 3 Full HD CMOS sensors (http://www.creativevideo.co.uk/index.php?t=product/canon_xf300) Graham Bernard June 10th, 2011, 01:24 PM A September ship date is nuts. Or was your comment based on the website? Cheers Grazie Nigel Barker June 11th, 2011, 01:44 AM So, Nigel, I'm guessing that you called them and checked availability? Or was your comment based on the website?I had no need to call them as I already own an XF305 but I have bought a lot of gear from CVP & their website is normally accurate. Graham Bernard June 11th, 2011, 04:12 AM Nigel, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, today is Saturday, and CVP are closed on a Saturday. Hey ho..... Grazie . Graham Bernard June 13th, 2011, 09:43 AM Nigel, I just came off the phone with CVP and had it confirmed that if I placed an order today, I would get it in September. Grazie Nick Wilcox-Brown June 14th, 2011, 02:32 AM For XF cams, check out Visual Impact, London or Bristol. I believe they have stock and extremely helpful. Graham Bernard June 14th, 2011, 04:32 AM For XF cams, check out Visual Impact, London or Bristol. Nick thank you. VI London have 2 and after that they have got no information as to when they are getting more. My price I've gotten already is some £200 pounds less. As to Bristol VI they told me that I'd have to special order the xf300 and they don't have an ETA on them either. Still looking like September, not just for myself but for others much higher up the wholesaler food chain than I. Grazie Nigel Barker June 14th, 2011, 04:59 AM There is at least one UK based seller on eBy who claims to have stock. There is a telephone number on the listing f you wanted to give them a call. A bird in the hand & all that... Graham Bernard June 14th, 2011, 05:13 AM There is at least one UK based seller on eBy who claims to have stock. For £5.5k? Call me old fashioned, but I won't take up the offer. I'll leave that to others to do. "Bird in the hand", that's interesting. Where I'll be getting it from is only 10 minutes away from my Dad who I visit at least twice a week. Oh yeah, this company is also doing me a deal on a bespoke FF and MB package too Am I prepared to wait? I've waited the best part of 4 years already. Best regards Grazie Nick Wilcox-Brown June 15th, 2011, 02:40 PM You are welcome Grazie. If it helps, VI not only matched a third party price, but knocked another £50 off. I have only dealt with them for a couple of months, but service has been excellent and in one case, beyond my expectations, so they are getting a lot of my business on sales and hire right now. Looks like posts have just crossed. Fully understand where you are coming from. There is one UK firm pushing hard on all things video, but their prices are literally 'unbelievable' |
