I want to buy a genus hurricane rig from New York. Can anyone help me with info ? B&H and AbelCine don't have it listed in their website even though they are listed as dealers in Genus's website.
For those that already have it ; is it possible to fit in front of the rig a quarter wave retarder at 45 deg?

We are developing an upgrade mirror box that can take a quarter wave retarder. We will have the first examples of these at IBC in September. The upgrade hood can be retro fritted to any Hurricane Rig.

2. can you recomend me a shop that sales quarter wave retarder filters in Toronto or New York?

There are no shops that simply sell quarter wave retarders that I know of. Genus will be supplying a custom produced retarder designed to work at the correct angle to the rig's mirror. Price and timescales are yet to be fixed. We need to make sure it works correctly first.
