This would seem to be a perfect lens when using a stedicam and a T2i - cheap, small, light, wide, and fast - but it's in the new Sony E mount. Does anyone know of an adapter or have experience with one?

That lens cannot fit a t2i because it is designed for mirrorless cameras. To mount that lens to a t2i or any other EOS camera, it would need to be inside the camera body to get the correct flange distance.

Adapting lenses to different systems, without adding extra glass elements in the adaptor, is only possible if the flange distance (distance from back of the lens to the image plane) is greater the for the system of the lens than the system of the camera. This is the reason why more people use manual Nikon lenses than Canon FD lenses on Canon DSLR's.

I see - thanks for the info!

Too bad... but prolly why that lens can be so small, yet so wide.
