2011 AWARDS - CATEGORIES


1. BROADCAST TV PROGRAM Lifestyle / Drama / Entertainment program as broadcast on Cable or Network TV within Australia or for commercial distribution.

2. TV COMMERCIAL 1 - TVC as broadcast (Budget Over $10,000). Under 60 seconds.

3. TV COMMERCIAL 2 - TVC as broadcast (Budget Under $10,000). Under 60 seconds.

4. TV NEWS STORY - TV News Story as broadcast.

5. TV INFOMERCIAL - TV infomercial as broadcast. Under 30 minutes.

6. CORPORATE 1 - Promotional, educational, marketing, industrial documentary (Budget Over $40,000).

7. CORPORATE 2 - Promotional, educational, marketing, industrial documentary (Budget $20,000 - $40,000).

8. CORPORATE 3 - Promotional, educational, marketing, industrial documentary (Budget $10,000 - $20,000).

9. CORPORATE 4 - Promotional, educational, marketing, industrial documentary (Budget $5,000 - $10,000).

10. CORPORATE 5 - Promotional, educational, marketing, industrial documentary (Budget Under $5,000).

11. SPORTING EVENT - Complete sports event / competition.

12. SPORTS DOCUMENTARY / PROGRAM - Sports documentary / panel program.

13. DOCUMENTARY - Factual program about an event, place or person, presenting facts with little or no fiction.

14. SHORT FILM / ANIMATED SHORT FILM - Under 15 minutes.

15. ANIMATION - Creative presentation which must include a minimum of 90% animation.

16. CHILDREN’S PRODUCTION - A production that is specially created for children that is educational & entertaining – Rated G.

17. DVD AUTHORING - Interactive menu design. This includes menu options, appearance, functionality & creativity. The DVD Menu should be relevant to the program content.

18. PACKAGING & PRESENTATION - As presented to a client. This includes the production of DVD slicks, cases & disc embossing.

19. ON-LINE VIDEO DISTRIBUTION - Video productions delivered to clients for online purposes. This includes all industry codes where the primary purpose is for on-line use (entry preferred on DVD).

20. EDUCATION & TRAINING - Program designed to impart knowledge and / or skills.

21. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY - OHS program designed to prevent workplace injuries.

22. INDUCTION VIDEO - Program designed to introduce staff to new facility.

23. MUSIC VIDEO - Single song music video for sale or to promote song, album, performer or group.

24. CORPORATE / COMMERCIAL SHOWREEL - Promotional showreel as shown to potential clients. Under 15 Minutes.

25. WEDDING SHOWREEL - Promotional showreel as shown to potential clients. Under 15 Minutes.

26. WEDDING - FEATURE LENGTH HIGHLIGHTS - Creative presentation in any form from one wedding. Under 20 minutes.

27. WEDDING - HIGHLIGHTS - Creative presentation in any form from one wedding. Under 5 minutes

28. WEDDING - PRE WEDDING SHOOT - Creative presentation in any form of events filmed & produced prior to the wedding day. Under 10 minutes

29. WEDDING - SAME DAY EDIT Creative presentation in any form from one wedding, filmed, edited and aired on the same day. No footage shot prior to the day is permitted.

30. WEDDING - SHORT FORM - Single or multi-camera coverage of one wedding; creative presentation, which may exclude aspects of the event. Under 50 minutes.

31. WEDDING - LONG FORM Single or Multi-camera coverage of one wedding; covering all aspects of the wedding.
Under 2.5 hours.

32. STAGE PRODUCTION (Professional) - Professional - play, concert or performance (Filmed Live in front of a general audience).

33. STAGE PRODUCTION (School) - Non-professional performers - school, play, callisthenics, concert or performance (filmed live in front of a general audience).

34. SPECIAL EVENT - This includes Debutante Ball, Party, Graduation, Passing Out Parade, Festival etc.
