Sorry for the delay for this beta release, we have been incredible busy working the next generation of tools. This build is mostly several long-awaited patches to 5.5.2. If this build looks good, we will switch to this as a main release shortly.

Enhanced encoding quality and bit-rate with some minor tweaks

Hi David,
With this build, i cannot export the timeline to CF avi. Render Dialog box opens and close immediately.

timeline is CF preset 1080i 25 with only two clips.
clips are 1080i 25i/s

can you confirm ?
thanks

Is it possible to convert Red Epic 5K R3D files to 1080?

Neo and Neo3D have a shell tool for R3D conversions that can scale to any size.

"Build 5.5.4.332, released 12-August-2011 - Fixed CS5.5 Multi-cam plays green with Mercury enabled"

I can confirm that this seems to work now (finally got around to testing it, albeit briefly, last night).

Thanks Cineform for fixing this annoying bug in Neo.

David.

Sorry the feedback is so long to come. I tried this new build and it has fixed my proxy problem it seems.

I had been putting it off until another project was complete however was forced to re-install PP5 and Neo when Windows 7 lay down and I had to chase an old restore point which dumped my updates.

I have revised the Neo3D and Neo links above, the files have the same name as before with a few subtle changes. The build had DPX2CF, CF2DPX & R2CF component that where requesting a library that many users didn't have. There is a tiny patch to CStyle curves, fixing a Saturation bug. NeoScene is unchanged, as CStyle is for FirstLight users and it doesn't have DPX and R3D tools.

Thank you for this updated update of Neo.

I was trying to batch convert RED files and suddenly couldn't do it anymore.
For a few painful days I thought it was on my side, doing something wrong but couldn't tell what it was.

But now it's working again.

Cheers

Peter

hey david!

can you edit the subject title to reflect the build number and date posted.. that would help make it easier for users. Thank you!

ie. New Windows betas for NeoScene, Neo & Neo3D - Build 5.5.4.332,-12-August-2011

No I can't, just a regular user on DVInfo.

hm, yes you're right. I just tried to edit one of my post's subject lines. Must have that feature locked out on this forum.

Well, for future, whenever a new build is released, can you make a new post, with build number and release date on it (and if you update that release, start a new thread?)

Much appreciated and you'll probably get quicker feedback from people who may not have realized that the build was updated buried in a previous thread.

cheers,

When adjusting zoom, offset x and y, no changes take effect.
We're using Neo on Windows 7 64bit.

Not a bug in general, so ask support.

I have encountered the same problem. I had cropped a project shot in HD to a 4:3 format. Now I want to remove the crop, looks great in First Light, but in PP5 the crop doesn't away. If its not a general bug, I'll file a ticket.
Thanks,
Carlos

Sounds like Premiere is cache frames -- changing the playback resolution normally flushes cached frames.

Using the new builds, when I open existing projects that had a Cineform sequence, I get the following message:

"The editing mode used by this sequence could not be loaded. The sequence will be opened in Desktop mode."

Is this a problem?

Does it matter what mode the sequence is? I have some projects where I have used different presets for the same type of Cineform files (Cineform, DSLR, AVCHD - this is what Premiere chooses when I drag a clip to the new sequence icon) and they all seem to work.

Thanks,

Lloyd

Transcoded with MVC2AVI m2ts (from Sony TD10E 3D PAL camcorder) instead of 25 fps is 29,97 fps.
This is bug of DS Cineform codec? Because if used VFW version of CFHD no problem with 25 fps.

I just updated to the latest BlackMagic Intensity Pro drivers (8.5 dated 8/29/11) and the card no longer shows up as a capture device. Uninstalled Neo and re-installed but it still doesn't show up.

Install older BlackMagic drivers as that should not happen.
