Just wanted to let everyone know there are alternatives to Sony service on the XDCAM EX line of cameras. Our EX-1 filter wheel jammed while on location and after doing a little internet research found Tek Media Group in Burbank (Camcorder Repair | Laptop Repair | Lens Repair | Projector repair (http://www.tekmg.com/)). Sent an email and received a call back in a few minutes...shipped the camera to them from N. Dakota, had an estimate the day the camera arrived and other than the Sony delay in getting parts, they would have turned the camera around an 1-2 days. Even with the Sony parts issue we got it back in a week.

Great outfit to have "in your pocket" when you need quick service. I spoke with Chris Cottrell at 1-800-255-5045. They also repair Panasonic cameras, a variety of decks and even computers.
