Is there any software out there at a consumer rate that stops people running off copies of DVDs that I produce?

Search for copy protection, not copyright.

My manual for Adobe Encore DVD say no. Only replicating houses can do it at this time, and when you submit your master on DLT.

Even the copy protection available on commercially duplicated DVDs isn't worth all that much. If people really want to duplicate your copy protected DVD there is software they can get off the Internet that will crack the copy protection.

No free software; and if you want to buy a license for the professional software, you'll probably have to sell all of your equipment... it's that expensive!

But why would you do it in the first place as long as there are free programs out there to break that code anyway... A picture of cuffed hands may help more, as in this story from the UK: A man got a nice picture of his vehicle speeding, and a letter inviting him to pay a fine. In respons, he mailed a picture of a check he wrote for the amount in question. The police replied sending him a picture of... handcuffs.

Our speedy friend quickly mailed the real check.
