Are there any recommendations for a Nikon lens adapter that allows for manual and automatic aperture, focus and zoom controls with the Nikon's G series?

Bill Bruner December 7th, 2011, 08:32 AM Adam - I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you looking for an adapter that allows you to use auto aperture on your Nikon lenses with a Sony NEX camera? Pretty sure that doesn't exist. There are, however, several adapters that will allow you to use your Nikon lenses on NEX cameras and manually adjust the aperture. I used this $40 Fotodiox adapter with a rented NEX-VG20 this weekend, and it worked just fine. Well, I suppose I could manually adjust the aperture. It's no biggie. With the VG20 and a Nikon lens will I still be able to control focus and zoom via the camera? Bill Bruner December 7th, 2011, 07:16 PM Aperture, focus and zoom are manual with all non-Sony lenses. The only auto-focus, auto-aperture lenses that work with the VG20 are Sony E mount (NEX) and A mount (with the Sony LA-EA2 adapter). There is no power zoom for the VG20 (unless you buy an old A mount Minolta Maxxum power zoom with the LA-EA2). Cheers, Bill Hybrid Camera Revolution (http://hybridcamerarevolution.blogspot.com) |
