At risk of this thread wandering too off-topic, a follow-up event involving the Segway and the very sports commentator who laughed at the previous mishap.

You seriously could not have scripted this. Now everyone will be wanting to get in on the act!

Yep. I saw it when it happened. I was right in the middle of a phone call and that was the end of my concentration for a minute or so.

The interviewer's ankle did not seem to be working too good after he stepped off going forwards. I wonder if the insurance includes the get-out clause, "was the incident occasioned by a circumstance of frivolity."

Pedro Guimares who shoots 3D in the US has one and has a clip which shows it in use. The footage a steadycam operator can make on the thing really looks something special. In my old age, I think I would want training wheels on the front and a low cow catcher to toss stuff out of the way.
