Well that's interesting as over here in the UK it would seem that both the pricing and the dealers have been confirmed already.

The price across the range of dealers seems firmly predicted, or fixed, to be just under ten thousand pounds plus VAT at 20%. There are slight variations.

So according to my calculator thats $15,472.00 or thereabouts.

I would say that this is a fairly accurate figure as Park Cameras who are pretty competitive in a conservative way, have finally posted their price at £11,999.99 (inclusive of 20% tax)

Don't you just love the 99p at the end of the figure!

And wouldn't it be just great if these figures are wildly over the top!

We must not forget that on average gear costs 5-15% less in US than in Europe.
Even if the actual price is around $15K, is a far cry than the absurd $20K they announced in November. Usually street prices are 10-15% off MSRP, which means that they already lowered their price after the Internet outcry.

Maybe the will eventually priced it around $10-12 which is a sensible price point for this camera.

If that is the case and going on the price on the above post. This converted into Aussie dollars = $18k

Well, at that price and if next week this is true I'm out. $15k in AUD would be max I think.

Cheers

As much as I am hoping for 15, I will not be surprised if it's 16.

So, where can we see the list of the authorized C300 dealers?

I haven't been able to find an official list, but from twitter and google I've learned: Filmtools.com, B&H, Texas Media Systems... that's all I've seen so far. Here's a direct link to the video:

It's right... everyone I've seen is listing $16k. It's a shame, I could have stretched my $13k approval for a new camera some, but not that much...

My guess it it will all depend on sales vs. production. Initially the price is apparently $15,999, but depending on what the dealer price is, that may move somewhat after the early adopters chew up the first few shipments.

It's funny...before the $20k announcement on stage at the Nov. 3 event (which apparently took virtually everyone "in the know" by surprise) the rumored number on the floor had been $16k. I think given the feature set, broadcast approved codec, etc in comparison to a stock F3, which is the primary competitor, this camera is priced pretty close to the mark. I wouldn't expect it to drop more than $1000-1500k anytime soon.

Looks like B&H has turned on their preorder for the C300 @ $15,999.
