Had a quick google, cant find a quick answer, so.....
My GTX 560Ti has been abysmal with Vegas, if it doesent make Vegas crash, it makes the render actually go slower.
I need a Nvidia card for Adobe apps.
Options-
Sell 560ti and get a AMD Radeon HD 6870 for little to no change over cost, and ALSO run my trusty old GT240 for Adobe apps? Is this even possible, right click on Vegas icon and have an option like on my laptop- Run with X or Y graphics processor?
or,
Sell all my cards, and bite the bullet and get a GTX 570/80? ( will it be any better than the 560Ti? Vegas website shows the 6870 to perform way better).

I just upgraded this afternoon to 290.53 Beta, havent had a chance to test it yet, Ill be happily surprised if it makes a difference, I've tried every updated driver so far and they have all been similar.
Maybe there is some difference in architecture from 550 to 560, I dont know. I just wish Vegas GPU was as simple to get going as Adobe's.
No Cuda, true, but open CL should help a bit...

Gerald, if you haven't done so, try uninstalling through "Add Remove Programs" all graphics card-related drivers and programs, then installing your new driver.

I had to do that at one point, made a world of difference. I had been installing drivers over other drivers, really bad form to do that, but I was being lazy, and it really caused a lot of issues.
