I'm finishing off a project comprised of a load of veg files nested into one. This seems to present no problems whilst editing etc. All footage was shot on the same camera, Sony EX1 at 1920x1080 25p (PAL). Whenever I try to render out so I can make a DVD I always seem to lose a few frames randomly throughout.
I've tried rendering out using the DVD architect template that matches the original footage, just changing to 25fps as well as loads of others including AVC, mp4 etc.
I must have rendered the damn project 5-6 times and always somewhere, never in the same place, in each render I lose a few frames. If I import it back to Vegas and look, each lost frame is just black.
My PC is well powerful enough, I'm on Win7 64bit and Vegas Pro11 64bit.
Any thoughts?!

How do you detect the lost frames/what are you playing the video on?
You are rendering to a 25P profile right and not trying to bump 25P down
to 24P or something wacky?

If you set the number of rendering threads to 1 and/or disable GPU support
does the issue go away?

Sorry for so many questions but I have the same configuration as you
do but I do 60I all the way through and am interested in potential problems...

I noticed it when playing back the DVD on the TV.
I'm in PAL land, and always shoot 25p and I always make sure the render out and DVD authoring are too.
Now since I posted, I've tried another method: I rendered out as a Blu-Ray compatible .mp4, dumped that into DVD Architect and this time it seemed to work. Maybe Vegas itself aint too hot at down rezzing?
I haven't tried playing around with threads or gpu etc, but hopefully if the above method works, then....
