I consider myself a decent videographer, but I mostly play by ear. I would like to become better in the art of editing and shooting, especially in event videography and documentaries. Can anyone recommend me a good book/s to improve my skills? Note that I edit with Edius, but I'm not looking for something too specific about the NLE itself, but mostly about the art side of shooting and editing, what is acceptable and what is not.

Thanks,

Sebastian

One book that is a must read is "Start Up a Photography or Videography Business On A Shoestring - Learn From The Pros How To Generate Good Income In Your Spare Time"

What I like best about it is it talks about shooting for the edit, and in-camera editing. Both of these techniques can save hours in post editing, and enable you to have more free time to pursue other interests.
