Where does Vegas save the CUSTOM user settings? I wanted to send a friend of mine some of my settings for Vegas 8, but I can't find where they are saved! I have some specific custom savings that I use for Ipod, TV etc that I have saved and I don't want to read all of the details to him so I would rather send the file if it is available. Any thoughts?

Does this make sense? I wasn't sure if it was clear or not. I want the TEMPLATE settings...

I've got Pro 8, 9 and 10 on my system but I think this is the right place for Pro 8 templates.

Thank you that helped, but I sent a few templates over and he says they are not showing up in his template window. I wonder why? They are in the right location because he says he has other templates saved there, and he put my templates with them...

That may have been the Pro 9 or Pro 10 location so try this one instead.

There could also be associated registry entries that would be needed.

If you have specific settings to send them, just take snapshots of the screens and send him the snapshots. Yes, he'll have to select all the same settings but he'll have it working.

Vegasaur installed on both machines may do the trick:

Vegasaur Presets Manager - easy way to export, import, save, copy, back up, and transfer effects and other plug-in presets in Sony Vegas Pro (http://vegasaur.com/vegas-presets-manager)

You can download it as a free trial. I used it to transfer from a desktop to a laptop. However they were the same operating system and the same Vegas version.
