Friends

I have been the proud owner of a JVCHD-110U for about 5 years. I have used it for four or five really enjoyable projects. It has not seen more use because the other projects I've been involved with needed auto-focus or smaller equipment.

I love this camera, but now is the time to part with it.

I wanted to ask you all what is the best way for me to pass this camera on to someone else who will use it well. Should I sell it to a camera store locally? Should I sell it on ebay or craigslist? Or is there a place where film-makers and videographers go online to look for used equipment?

Thank you all for your time and advice. I've never sold a camera before.

All the best,

Brian

Just mail it to me and all your worries are over.

But seriously, don't you know that you can sell it right here on DVInfo? Just scroll down!

Ebay is probably your best bet. If you don't need the money, I suggest keeping it as a B-cam/backup cam. I sold mine last year and am regretting it. :)

Brian,
DVinfo has a private classified sections where you can list it and get it right to the folks you describe here on DVinfo. The idea is that buyer and seller's reputations are established and at stake here in this community. I have baought and sold items here and much prefer it over eBay.

Here's the forum:

When you create a post, set the PREFIX to be one of the available regions where you want to sell it. When your post is submitted, the prefix shows and is easily found by readers looking at new posts as well as those browsing that forum.

Randy, the OP in this thread has an HD100 with a few problems, but the body can probably be used for a capture deck: http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/jvc-gy-hd-series-camera-systems/504916-gy-hd100-problem-repair-reseller-advice.html#post1724891

It may be worth getting ahold of him.
