If you are really using the Panasonic Z10000 and outdoors, you should have noticed it really needs an ND filter to tame highlights in bright conditions. There are none built in, and there is no filter thread.

So, what can be done? Please, no recommendations of $2500 matte boxes and rails.

A 4x5.65 ND filter (gel, glass) covers the two lenses and shade fine. Can it be attached temporarily? Joe's Clear Sticky Stuff tape?

This:

Panasonic AG-3DA1 and Redrock microMatteBox (http://www.flickr.com/photos/redrockmicro/5223428235/)

which I think is pretty much the same as this:

Redrock Micro - AF100 Bundle (http://store.redrockmicro.com/Catalog/digitalcine/Panasonic-AF100-Rig)

which is about half the cost you mentioned. Not gone for anything yet but this is the most tempting so far, although there are some interesting low cost alternatives starting to come out Asia.

Otherwise it's DIY time.
