Hi

Planning on shooting a mountain bike video on a Canon 600D. Seeing as I like in UK was going to use 24p, but was thinking more fps the better really so can use slow mo/twixtor. Would it be a good idea to shoot it all 60fps 720p and not worry about 1080?

I'd shoot it at 50p and edit on a 25p (UK standard frame rate) timeline. That way you can easily halve the speed, or just drop every 2nd frame to play it at real time.

If there's certain things you know you'll play at slow motion, you can shoot them at 60p to get slightly slower playback. Conversely if there's certain things you know will be played at real time (for example interviews or anything with natural sound which needs to stay in sync) you can shoot at 1080p25 and benefit from the extra resoution - you might not need it, espescially if you are going to web or DVD output, but particularly for interviews I like to have that extra resolution so I can re-frame it slightly in post if required.
